Clearly is the largest online optical retailer in the world and their online model had been working successfully in New Zealand for the past five years.

They approached RCG for expert direction and guidance to ascertain the best way to take their retail operation here to the next level.

The brief was to fully integrate the showroom into their impressive digital sales model, creating an engaging, unique, and profitable
retail presence.

The project was delivered in a five week timeframe, by first securing
a high profile site on Queen Street, followed by an intense design
phase and three week fit out period – all completed on time and
under budget.

We conducted a spatial review and carried out competitor research, to determine an optimum retail layout and create a store aesthetic unique to the New Zealand optical retailer market.

A key design feature of the new store is a seamless product display wall, based on the convex shape of an eye it can house 600 frames; exceeding our clients expectations. This unique solution has been announced as a finalist of the coveted Interior Craftsmanship Award.

RCG aligned the latest in retail thinking with Clearly’s business, brand and goals to deliver a world-class flagship store that is innovative and engaging.
